I have someone who is interested in hitting a dinner theater at the end of April. Any good ones out there?

Today, my rockin coworkers threw me a surprise baby shower.

And I really was surprised.

It was really, really, really nice of them. I got a bazillion peices of babyclothes & diapers. Even the IT & Engneering boys got me a giftcard.

It was funny, because every friday we do a corporate lunch, which I order/organize. This friday we did a potluck, irish style for St. Paddy's. So everyone was like 'thanks for organizing the food for your own party'.

I was super, super touched. I really adore my job...

Baby is good. 1 CM dialated and just waiting for this cork to pop and be DONE.

Hey I'm still pregnant!

Right. Updateage. I am already done being preggo. I know I was all like 'oh I love being preggo' no. No sir I don't like it. You'd be surprised how much damage you do to your body in three years. I've managed to get Sciadica (ow), Gestational Diabities (annoying), kidney infections (fucking antibiotic). Okay OKAY I'm done now. Can it be baby time now plz?

Truthfully, I barely have six weeks left. (HUZZAH) William & I are excited. The baby seems to be healthy, although they told me last week I have the Diabities, the baby is measuring just on target, so I'm not worried. And my blood sugars have been good. Honeslty the most interesting thing I've learned about the GD is that it isn't as hard as it sounds to manage. Basically I have to have between 30 & 60 grams of carbs per meal, with 2 15-30 gram carb snacks a day. And honestly? So long as my body is processing it, it can be any sort of carb. Which means I can still have a bar of chocolate (22 grams of carbs for the most part), a couple cookies (17 grams for milanos!). The honest-to-god hard part is the liquid. There are SO MANY carbs in a one-cup (8 oz) glass of juice. between 22 & 35! So to put it in perspective, you could have a 16 oz bottle of soda for almost 40-60 grams of carbs, or a caffeene-free, diet soda in any amount, plus a full meal (meat, potatoe, veggie).

Anyways, I think that's the update. For those interested, I will probably be doing a low-key come see the baby potluck party the end of april.

So.

I go to Becker College. I enrolled as an accellerated student, which means I am full time. I took a two month break (Oct-Dec) so I could get baby/moving/life settled.

In november, oddly enough I got a weird letter from financial aid saying 'we're sorry you decided to leave college, here's the information for your exit interview'. So I got on the line and called my advisor and was like 'wtf? I'm not leaving, I asked to take a couple months off so I could sort things out' he was all apologies and said it would be taken care of.

Turns out they reported to my loan companies I had left school.

WTF? I am pissed. I start school in six days again, one class before the baby is due, then two afterwards to end the semester. The loan company says its already been reported to my credit that I haven't paid since november.

What I want to know is WTF. first of all, what happened to six months grace period after leaving school before repayment. and second of all I NEVER FUCKING LEFT.

Annoyed.

I'm Feeling...: aggravated

No, I have not found your god. (stop snickering, would you?) My God is alive and well and keeps on poking me in my bladder.

I still believe in prayer. They are like mini rituals, focuses of intent to the universe that asks for solace and comfort.

Christmas was christmas for your average everyday american couple. My three year old was spoiled rotten. I hate going to the inlaws, but did it anyways...(although had a suprisingly warm welcome. I think they are thrilled I am having a 'real baby' instead of them accepting annabelle as their grand-neice/child/etc). My own family remains insane: my grandfather's dementia is getting worse. He fell asleep in the corner, woke up, and was so confused as to where he was he got up and walked out of the house, which caused my grandmother to have a meltdown and my TWENTY ONE year old cousin wasn't "allowed" to come see us by her mother because "she should be with family for christmas" (Same family that dosn't allow their 17 year old son to be at home alone. Ever. Not even after school) I got a spa for christmas (swoon). It is bubbly goodness in my tub- now if only I could get my water to stay hot, I would be golden. We got money (which we asked for, we need a new dryer) and my daughter got in no paticular order: A telescope, a planetarium, dress up clothes, a dollhouse, a play kitchen, musical instruments (note the 's' on that, it includes a drum, a flute and a keyboard), a digital camera, about a bazillion containers of play-dough, and keep in mind, this dosn't include the stuff eric's family got her...(Well except the digital camera).

What made this season particularly hard was the casualties. Within the last week before christmas the following happened:

My boss' (Daphne) Grandmother in Law Passed
My supervisor (Mell) Uncle Passed
My friend Sean's father passed (this hit home for me, but it has only been three years since my own father's passing)
My coworker's (Nancy) husband passed
My friend Kevin went into the hospital with three strokes and a blood infection (Anyone have an update?)
My friend Krystal has spent every day in the hospital since the 23rd of December (except part of christmas eve and christmas day) with kidney stones that needed to be surgically removed, then liver enzymes, etc and so forth. She's being released today.

It has been a rough week emotionally in that regards.

In baby news, little Liam is doing just fine. Kicking and wriggling about. I think I really 'popped' over the last few days- you can sincerely tell I'm pregnant now. However, the backpain has been getting progressivly worse, and my doctor was concerned enough to put me on physical theraphy twice a week for the next three weeks to test it, and go from there. So what does this mean?

I get to go swimming every wednesday and friday mornings. Wee!

Got to work at HSE this last weekend. It was a good time, solid work, and Jodi was great and let me sit down when I needed too. I was stupid and got a horribly bad sunburn- bad enough it is STILL swollen. Ouch. I will be filling in some holes for them in their schedule, which should be fun.

I've been in a mood lately. I blame hormones. But the baby is fine, I'm fine. doctor's appointment on thursday, sammiched in between my birthday and my mother's birthday.

I got sick this morning. Demmit. It had been a week with no queasyness and I woke up this morning and just puked. Still naeusous, not queasy. I'm hoping its just lingering morning sickness and NOT a symptom of my kidneys not liking me.

Here's hoping.
